Fluid has backed up into my lungs. It feels like someone is sitting on my chest or squeezing my lungs. Can't take a deep breath until some of the fluid flushes out. It's scary. I go through this *every week.* Y'all want to put off heart disease as long as you possibly can.

The process of eliminating 5-10 lbs of fluid from your body in ONE day is exhausting. You gotta clear your schedule if you're taking metolazone and lasix together on the same day. You aren't going anywhere but the bathroom. All the nutrients get drained from your body along with the fluid so you spend all day trying to replace potassium, sodium, magnesium. You get weak and dizzy if you don't keep electrolytes balanced. It's hard on the kidneys. For some reason my chronic pain gets worse on these days too. I'm still very tired the day after as well so it wipes out two days of my week.

I prefer to write about politics, science, feminism--anything rather than my health--but today is a bad day to be in this body. Yet it's the only body I have.
