Ida B. Wells

In honor of Black History Month, I'd like to introduce you to Ida B. Wells, 1862-1931, a journalist who was born a slave in Holly Springs, Mississippi. Read more about her amazing life.

I first heard about her life in my women's history class. I highly recommend taking such a class if it's available to you locally. I heard a lot of wonderful stories about women that I wouldn't have encountered otherwise.
