#amazonfail from a business perspective
http://www.humansatwork.com/the-lessons-of-amazonfail/

Monumental customer service screw up, basically. Amazon has failed to actually address the issue of the policy, ask us if we want or need for them to limit some books or products from searches, seems to have no clue about how they interact with both customers and the publishing industry as a whole, and failed to simply talk to us directly, on their site, and fully explain what happened.

Until or unless Amazon indicates that it is abandoning any such policy, NO MATTER HOW IT'S IMPLEMENTED, they will not get my business. I don't care if all glbt books are restored--it's not acceptable to me if ANY books fail to appear in one of my searches. Let me decide if it's appropriate for me or not. I'm an adult. Treat me like one.

Total bullcrap.

This calls for some serious internet vigilantism, if that hasn't occurred already. Ten bucks says Amazon are just dissembling after getting caught red-handed acting like bible-thumping librarians.
