New Granddaughter has arrived!
Yesterday, on my mom's birthday, my granddaughter was born at around 2 p.m. I don't have the spelling of her first name yet, something like Zaman or Zeman, but the middle name is Athena. She weighed 6 lbs. and 11 ounces. As soon as I have pictures I will post some.

Wherever she is, I'm sure Mom is so happy her great granddaughter appeared on her birthday. :)

ETA: Zaman Athena, born 1:48 PDT. Zaman means honey. (It sounds like Ziman with a short i, emphasis second syllable.)

OMG so TINY!!

I wouldn't know what to do with a baby that little! :P

I had two smaller than that. Gen was 5#6 and Raenie was 6#1. Raenie was a month early. Gen came within two days of when I said she would.

Thomas was 9#2, Tayler 8#9 - babies come big in my family. Except my niece Sanura. She came at 30 weeks and lay in my hand. She scared me to death! ;)

My family ranges from tiny little Gen to my sister, who was 10#9, both born right on time! My own girls went 7#14, 5#6, 7#10, 6#1, so average, small, average, small.

I was one of our family's smallest babies before Sanura came along - I was 7#2. Everyone always blamed my size and weight on my mother's age - she was only 16 when I was born.

Her other babies were larger so yeah, this one seems smaller. But she's almost 7 lbs. My daughter was 7 and 3/4 lbs and I thought she was tiny after my 9 lb, 22 inch son.
