Healthy Foods for Under a Dollar
I was referred (thanks Summer!) to a page listing the 20 Healthiest Foods for Under $1.00.

Also, if you are at all interested in someday traveling the country with an RV or tent, check out her article on Modern Day Nomads. Here's the story of how it all came about.

Of course nomad living just gives me homeless-with-kids flashbacks, but I've known people who were quite happy to live that way. I think it works much better for those without dependents, though I clearly got a sense at Leo Carrillo that there were still people with kids making use of the campgrounds out of homelessness rather than for fun.

I'd love to be able to jump into an RV and just go. Just go. But knowing I had my home full of my stuff waiting for me when I got back....Until gas prices got outrageous, my mom and stepdad went all over the place in their RV.

Why thank you dear! Sadly, the one campground we disliked so much I think part of it was a young woman there with three very young children. I'm pretty sure they were homeless and I felt very bad for her, she was clearly having a rough time. I don't think it is a good alternative if you have kids - they just have needs (including security) that adults do not. JMHO.

One RV's worth of stuff is about all we own now - and that's fine with me. ;) (Mind you, that is one of those vans with all the storage - books, my vice)
