Fun Home
Student Protests Fun Home, a graphic memoir by Alison Bechdel, famous for her Dyke To Watch Out For comics. Fun Home is used in a class at the University of Utah and one student was uncomfortable with the use of such "pornographic" material.

Perhaps it was this drawing?

Alison's reaction? Awesome!

I love it! That makes me an official Smut Peddler!

Yes, it's hysterical!

I picture all the repressed Mormons running out to secretly buy the book hoping to get turned on only to see that

A. the erotic content is in comic form (kind of a challenge to jerk off to)

B. it's a small part of the book

I love that you post stuff like this. :D

Thanks, I have a lot of fun doing so!

How are you doing? I read briefly that Thomas was headed back to the hospital with rejection signs again. {{{HUGS}}}

Mari's not doing well. Aside from Thomas, my life has been utter hell for the last eleven days. I can't stop crying. I have what I keep telling myself is a severe cold (which I promise I'm treating!). There's just a ton of shit going on. Just pure "shit". I don't know what else to call it right now. I posted a brief note in the private area at OC - I think you have access; if not, I can fix that fast enough.

I posted an update about Thomas in the healing garden this morning - as well as a note on my blog http://mariadkins.com

If I were able to be there in person I'd give you a great big smooch and hug. But all I can do is virtual: {{{hug}}} xxx

Heh. If you didn't have fun posting this stuff, you wouldn't do it! ;)
