Catching up and getting started
I began my journal on my forum, Gaudiya Repercussions. It is a forum intended to attract other former Hare Krishna devotees like myself, who left ISKCON behind.

Given that some still feel a bit secretive about their identity and what they reveal, I made their personal profiles private, members only. But that made the blogs members-only as well. And some prefer it that way.

I gave it some thought and decided that I wanted to have a more public journal. So I've transferred anything I felt comfortable sharing to this newly minted, as of this evening, Live Journal.

Right now I am tired from entering all of these (back to March) and want to take a break, so I'll write something in the next day or so and update the bio. I transferred that as well.

If you happen to be a former Hare Krishna, you can find us at http://www.gaudiya-repercussions.com

My old feminist 'zine is at http://www.uppitywomen.net and it is called Uppity Women Magazine. I stopped publication in August of 2001 when heart disease, the family curse, caught up with me. I was just broadsided by its early onset and the quadruple bypass surgery at the age of 42.

Do you know your cholesterol level? Your C-reactive protein level? Your risk factors? Talk to your doctor, start prevention young!

Blessed be--

Hello Tapati
Glad to see you have a blog here at Live Journal, it was a nice surprise. I have had one here for a few months for the same reasons you came here, but so far I have only put the same entrees that I have on the GR forum blog. It will be nice to keep up with your writings. I have not been foruming lately, but will be back soon.

Take Care Tapati

Oh, hi--didn't know you were here!
I've been meaning to do this for awhile, just got busy with the forum and all. A check is on the way to you, incidentally, for that other hundred bucks. I will get back soon to working on it and getting Alec to update the graphics. We've decided on the pink fade with the curved effect, but they wanted the background to match the pink of the sunset more closely.

There are some things I want to write that aren't appropriate for the GR audience, I think. :)

Blessed be--
