Clean the floor where you walk, cleanse the body.
Clean the floor where you cook, cleanse the spirit.
Clean the floor where you eat, cleanse the heart.
Wash the floor, cleanse the life.
Wash the floor, begin again...
"Woman Who Works" (a vision of an ancient Aztec grandmother who appeared to the author while she was cleaning the home of a woman in the middle of a divorce and nervous breakdown.) The original said "Clean the floor where the woman walks," etc. Of course you could also say "Clean the floor where the family walks" and so on.
I intend to post it in my kitchen. :)
