The saga of the follicular tumor is getting stranger and stranger. Now the latest pathology report after the third time they opened his arm up indicates that although they got deep enough, apparently there was more on the sides of the incision they made. So this time (scheduled a couple of weeks from now) they are going to play it safe and leave the wound open but covered, and rush the pathology examination so they can be sure they got it all before they close him up again. His doctor says it's been a long time since she's seen a tumor this large in someone his age.
Dave is taking it better than I am. I saw him in so much pain after the last time that I am really upset that he has to go through this again and also have an open wound over night. He seems to be more philosophical about it.
He put off the appointment for this because we want him to be feeling well for our anniversary on February 2nd.
I guess I'll try to put it out of my mind until he has to go in.
