writing in December
I am mindful of my goal to write in December and grateful that I have like-minded writers on my f-list. I am going away for part of this weekend so I can't start off right away (my birthday is Sunday). But starting Monday, now that my computer is set up again following my move, I am getting to work.

Basically my only goal is to write every single day. By write I do not mean LJ posts or forum posts or the like, though I will check in after I create a filtered list. I mean writing, either some of the short fiction floating around in my head or working on my memoir. I'm not setting a word count goal because I don't want to get distracted by that. I know from experience that if I just get going, I'll wrack up the pages, and that my biggest block is getting started.

Feel free to state your writing goal and let me know (if you haven't already) if you'd like to be added to the writing filter. If you want to continue your November writing or missed it and would like another chance, please join us in reporting our progress and keeping each other honest! Set whatever goal you would find most helpful.

I missed November completely. I'm so far behind it's beyond ridiculous. I'm part of December with you. ;)

I look forward to reading what you post :)

I am not in a goal-setting mindset at the moment because I seem to be writing like a maniac these past few weeks. When things calm down, I might do that. Last week, I wrote first drafts of ten poems and the night before last I did it again and ended up with five more. Now I just need to get to work on them.

Good luck :)

I don't have any specific goals of my own, but I would like to be on the writing filter :)

Oh me, me, pick me pickme! :) (on your writing filter I mean)

December's a little hectic because I'm moving back to Malaysia, but I aim to:

1. Read at least 2 poets' works.

2. Work on poetry every day. (also no word count, just to need to write regularly)

Go Tapati go! :)

He has a myspace page. ROFLMAO

see if that link works. If it doesn't, go to me (http://myspace.com/mariadkins and look at my friends list - you can click "view all" and then click on C (for charles).

And I spelled his name wrong. It's Bukowski.
