There is a campaign to send pencils to show support for the writers and if you don't want to go to the trouble of individual mailing, you can go here to have a box sent for you. They even thought of the environment and where the pencils can be donated later.

Great idea, out of the Jericho and Roswell fans playbook. (Who sent nuts and hot sauce, respectively, to show support for those shows.)
