Cleared for action

I had my check up with my ob/gyn doc today, and she cleared me for normal activity. Really there was only one activity that I and daveseeker were wondering about, and we're happy to know that we're free to proceed. I have to say, enforced celibacy for a few weeks is a great way to step up the passion quotient. As soon as someone says you can't do something, even if you often struggle to find time to do it, it moves waaaay up on your "to do" list.

I went for a walk with my daughter and grandsons today. My youngest can barely get a word in edgewise as his brother talks up a storm.

Speaking of storm, there were ominous black clouds that threatened to pour rain on us the whole time we were walking. I beat it home though. It was supposed to be sunny today and rain again tomorrow, but I guess the storm system sped up since last night's weather forecast.

This weekend we spring forward...an event celebrated by seasonal depressives every year as the time we start to get our energy back. (Similarly, falling back crushes us under a blanket of smothering darkness.)

Got to work on my resume and buy my interview clothes and get on my job search. I did hear that my letter of reference would be coming, so that's a relief.

The only aftermath of my surgery, other than small scars and a little soreness, is my lowered blood count. I am working my way through a bottle of Floradix (liquid iron supplement) and eating eggs and other iron rich foods. Once I get built up I think it will be easy to maintain. No more monthly blood loss!

It's so satisfying to have at least one health problem taken care of.
