Our freedom of choice is rapidly disappearing even in advance of court decisions as states rush to change their abortion laws in order to get a case before the newly conservative court. Salon's broadsheet covers a case where a poor woman in Virginia, struggling to raise two children already, became depressed about her lack of abortion options and shot herself in an effort to self induce abortion.
