July 29th, DVD release of Continuum, a Stargate: SG1 movie. (Straight to DVD release.) I hear someone leaked it already and MGM has an idea who it might have been. But no illicit copies came my way--just a few mouth-watering photos:

If you've never seen Stargate I bet you'd still enjoy it. If you want me to fill you in on the back story I'll be happy to. :)

There once was an alien named Ba'al
Whose fashions were the greatest of all
but he once tried to fight
One dark fateful night
Only to be tripped by his greatcoat and fall.

There once was a System Lord named Ba'al
Who held all the women in thrall
Though the Jaffa beat his people
As they rebelled against evil
He still seeks to be Lord of us all

It's so great to be bisexual...I can enjoy them both.

Sam Carter and Ba'al video to Nickelback's "Saving Me."

I wish they'd pair him off with somebody so I can enjoy vicariously. The second of the two direct-to-DVD Stargate movies has Qetesh (Vala's symbiote) as his Queen, hope there are a few steamy scenes!

I have a storyline floating in my head (almost wish I wrote fanfic) about Ba'al and Sam Carter being forced to share Sam's body for a short time and coming to some kind of mutual respect, however grudging.

My X-posted plot musings from Cliff Simon forum about possible plot lines if there were ever a Ba'al series, or we at least see more of him in future Stargate universe spin offs, behind the cut.

I had a dream the other night that I was being interviewed by Ba'al (a character from Stargate) for a job over the phone. I got the usual questions and then he asked me why I was interested in that particular job.

I launched into a long winded explanation of how because I've read sci fi all my life I have always felt planet-bound and yearned to travel to other planets. His job would allow me to do that.

Of course the character Ba'al would not be interviewing for a job but rather pressing me into slavery. But that's beside the point.

I had been thinking recently how odd it is that I have little desire to travel to other parts of Earth but I'd love to visit Mars. If it were possible to travel the galaxy via stargate, I'd go in a second.

Maybe I've already spent lifetimes traveling Earth and feel like it's time to see other things, I don't know.

But for this weekend I will settle for going to Reno.
