McCain on The View
The ladies of The View do an excellent job of skewering McCain on campaign lies and substantive issues.

He possibly thought he was in for a lighthearted interview and was more relaxed than he'd be if he were going on Meet The Press or Face The Nation. He thought wrong.

I only caught a clip of it, but yeah, I bet they tore into him. :D

It was funny, esp Goldberg responding to the strict interpretation of the Constitution saying, "Should I be worried, because slavery was accepted in the Constitution, we had to change some things..."

I heard it was brutal, thanks for posting the clip. I wish Walters could have done the whole interview since she was awesome.

But then he might have been on guard. He thought he was just going to have a soft, light-hearted chat with the ladies, LOL.

I usually detest this show, but the clips were refreshing. Finally, blunt questions put to McCain. While it was interesting to see an interview where they pursued their line of questioning, it still struck me as 'not tough enough'. I didn't see them as 'tearing in to him' at all, just asking some of the blunt questions other interviewers are too timid to ask. I felt it was far from "tough". He was able to wiggle his way out of some of the answers. It left me wishing they had been more insistent, even if he got mad enough to storm off stage. Now THAT would have been even better!

Thanks for posting the clip and the link. I also wish Walters could have done the whole interview herself, instead of watering it down with the the other women, especially Hasselback. But even Walters stops short of pushing anyone to become angry. THAT is what I think we need to see if interviewing McCain. . .

Yes we want to see him get mad, his temper is legendary. He came close in the primary debate with Romney though.

That is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Now...if they'd only get rid of that little twit Hasselbeck, I might start watching again...

Yeah, she can be annoying, but even she pressed him a bit, it was great!
