Just what Santa Cruz County needed
Another serious fire has broken out in the mountains north of Santa Cruz City, in the city of Bonny Doon. 1500 homes have been evacuated so far.

One of my former teachers lives in Bonny Doon with her husband in a house designed and built by Robert Heinlein, the science fiction writer who passed away in 1988. It's a really cool house and I hope they don't lose it.

My prayers are with all the people threatened by the wildfires throughout Northern California right now. The fire danger is very high and it's still early in the "fire season."
